Only By Grace

7/16/2011

Only by grace can we enter
Only by grace can we stand
Not by our human endeavour
But by the blood of the Lamb

Into Your presence you call us
You call us to come
Into Your presence you draw us
And now by your grace we come

Lord, if you mark our transgressions
Who would stand?
Thanks to Your grace, we are cleansed
By the blood of the Lamb… (twice)

Only by grace can we enter
Only by grace can we stand
Not by our human endeavour
But by the blood of the Lamb

Into Your presence you call us
You call us to come
Into Your presence you draw us
And now by your grace we come

And now by your grace we come
Now by Your grace we come.

O Lord , I’m not worthy

12/05/2009

O Lord , I’m not worthy
Yet you come to live in me.
So speak your word of comfort,
By your touch strengthen and heal me.

Take this and eat my body.
And drink my saving blood,
Poured out for your redemption;
A symbol of my love.

Called to be God’s new people,
Made one in Christ the Lord,
Let us with hearts united
Bear witness of your love.

Oh Christmas Tree

1/08/2009

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree!
How are thy leaves so verdant!
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
How are thy leaves so verdant!

Not only in the summertime,
But even in winter is thy prime.

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
How are thy leaves so verdant!
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Much pleasure doth thou bring me!

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Much pleasure doth thou bring me!
For every year the Christmas tree,
Brings to us all both joy and glee.

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Much pleasure doth thou bring me!

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Thy candles shine out brightly!

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Thy candles shine out brightly!
Each bough doth hold its tiny light,
That makes each toy to sparkle bright.

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Thy candles shine out brightly!

On Eagles Wings

12/28/2008

Isaiah 40:31
"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run,
and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint."

You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord,
Who abide in His shadow for life,
Say to the Lord, "My Refuge,
My Rock in Whom I trust."

Refrain
And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
The snare of the fowler will never capture you,
And famine will bring you no fear;
Under His Wings your refuge,
His faithfulness your shield.

Refrain
And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
You need not fear the terror of the night,
Nor the arrow that flies by day,
Though thousands fall about you,
Near you it shall not come.

Refrain
And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
For to His angels He's given a command,
To guard you in all of your ways,
Upon their hands they will bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.

Refrain
And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.

Once in a Manger Lowly

12/15/2008

Once in a manger lowly hundreds of years ago
A little babe so holy came to this world below.
Near was a crowded city, Bethlehem dark and low
Here Joseph sought for pity, chill was the night and cold.

Angels sang out the sweet story, fear not for lo this morn
Jesus the Christ of Glory, a little babe is born.

Joseph and Mary weary, no one would take them in
Slept in a stable dreary, nigh to a crowded inn.
Out on the hillside frightened shepherds beheld the sight
For all the sky was lighted on that first Christmas night.

Angels sang out the sweet story, fear not for lo this morn
Jesus the Christ of Glory, a little babe is born.

Far from the east three strangers, led by a star, their way
Kept safely from great danger seeking the Christ they say.
Came to the manger lowly, bringing their gifts of love.
Worshipped the babe so holy, gift fro the world above

Glory to God in the highest. Peace and good will to men.
Glory to God in the highest. Ever amen, amen

When They Saw The Star / Oh When They Saw The Star

12/12/2008

Oh, When they saw the star, they rejoiced with great joy
Oh, When they saw the star, they rejoiced with great joy
Oh, When they saw the star, they rejoiced with great joy
The rejoiced with exceeding great joy great joy great joy

O'er mountains and valleys it led them each night
A star of most radiant light
and so the wise men rejoiced as they journeyed afar
to behold such a beautiful star

Oh, When they saw the star, they rejoiced with great joy (3X)
The rejoiced with exceeding great joy great joy great joy

The star shone bright giving wondrous light
It led those three kings to a holy child

One bright day I saw in rich array
Three mighty kings and all their court go marching marching
one bright day, these kings in rich array
beheld a star that shone from far away
they rejoiced with exceeding great joy great joy great joy

O Mama Mary

Tell me how did you feel when the angel came into the garden?
How did you feel? How did you feel?
When he said "if you're afraid I beg your pardon,
but you're the one to bear god's son."

Chorus
Tell me how did you feel (how did you feel)
how did you feel (how did you feel)
Oh Momma, Momma Mary,
we wish you joy, we wish you joy.
Oh Momma, Momma Mary,
your little boy, your little boy
Soon to be our saviour.

Tell me how did you feel on the final day
How did you feel? How did you feel?
When you arrived in Bethlehem to hear them say
"No food no table, save in the stable"

Chorus

Tell me how did you feel when the wise men came to see him?
How did it feel? How did it feel?
When shepherds and kings with precious things adored him
it had begun, here was the one.

One Way - Hillsong

3/25/2008

I lay my life down at your feet
Cause You're the only one I need
I turn to You and You are always there
In troubled times, it's You I seek
I put You first that's all I need
I humble all I am, All to You

One way, Jesus
You're the only one that I could live for
One way, Jesus
You're the only one that I could live for

You are always, always there
Every how and everywhere
Your grace abounds so deeply within me
You will never ever change
Yesterday today the same
Forever till forever meets no end

One way, Jesus
You're the only one that I could live for
One way, Jesus
You're the only one that I could live for

One way, Jesus
You're the only one that I could live for
One way, Jesus
You're the only one that I could live for

You are the Way, the Truth and the Life
We live by faith and not by sight
For You, we're living all for You

You are the Way, the Truth and the Life
We live by faith and not by sight
For You, we're living all for You

You are the Way, the Truth and the Life
We live by faith and not by sight
For You, we're living all for You

You are the Way, the Truth and the Life
We live by faith and not by sight
For You, we're living all for You

You are the Way, the Truth and the Life
We live by faith and not by sight
For You, we're living all for You

One way, Jesus
You're the only one that I could live for
One Way, Jesus
You're the only one that I could live for

O Cross Erected

3/17/2008

O Cross Erected Above The World
Cross of our Saviour King! (2)
Fount from which gushed the waters
Straight from the wound in his side
Filling our lives with his gift of grace
Cross of our Saviour King

O Cross sublime and refulgent tree,
Cross of our Saviour King! (2)
Jesus through thee has saved us,
Great was the price that he paid
Thou art the folly of love divine
Cross of our Saviour King!

O Cross, thou channel of grace divine,
Cross of our Saviour King! (2)
Tree on which death was conquered
Thou the first altar of love
Jesus, the Lamb gave his life to thee,
Cross of our Saviour King!

On we go to Jerusalem

3/04/2008

On we go to Jerusalem
The city if the house of God
Pilgrim people, we seek the Lord:
The Lord of the house of Rock.

Age on age proclaims his praises
Each declares him Lord of all.
Countless millions sing his glory
Answering his pilgrim call.

Peace he promised to our fathers
In the ancient desert land.
Peace he offers in abundance
To his faithful pilgrim band.

All we have is offered in him
As we come to sing his praise.
Blessed is the Lord of heaven.
Mighty God of all our days.

Come into the Holy City;
See the table now being spread;
In this place so large and furnished,
Eat of this passover bread.

Jesus set a clear example,
washing his disciple's feet.
If the Lord went out in service,
We must now his work complete.

Jesus said, "Love one another.
This indeed is my command".
And he told of Love's great measure,
From the cross with outstretched arms.

Onward, Onward, Though the Region

2/13/2008

1. On-ward, on-ward, though the re-gion
where you are be drear and lone;
God has set a guar-dian le-gion
ver-y near you; press e'er on.

2. By the thorn road, and none o-ther,
is the mount of vi-sion won;
Tread it, shrink not, sis-ter, bro-ther,
Je-sus trod it; press e'er on.

3. By a trust-ful, calm en-deav-or,
guid-ing, cheer-ing, like the sun,
earth-bound heart, ere shall de-liv-er;
Oh, for their sake, press e'er on.

4. Be this world the wis-er, strong-er,
for a life of pain and peace;
While it needs you, oh, no long-er
pray now for a quick re-lease.

5. Pray that ere your du-ty ful-fill,
that you be the faith-ful one,
by the prayer of Je-sus, 'My will
not, but yours, Ab-ba, be done.'

O Not In Far-Off Realms of Space

1. O not in far-off realms of space
the Spir-it has a throne;
But in each heart finds a true place,
yet wait-ing to be known.
Search not, my soul, a-far in vain:
you will not find God there;
Nor in the depths of sha-dows wane,
nor in the heights of air.

2. Thought ans-wer-ing a-lone to thought,
as Soul with soul has kin;
The out-ward God one rec-kons not
who finds not God with-in.
And if the vi-sion comes rich-ly
re-vealed by in-ward sign,
Earth will be full of De-i-ty
and with full glo-ry shine!

3. You shall not want for com-pa-ny,
nor pitch a tent a-lone;
Th'in-dwell-ing God will go free-ly,
and show you of Life's own.
Search not for God a-far in space,
but to your-self re-pair;
Wait then with-in that si-lent grace,
and you shall find Love there!

Our Mothering Father

1. Our Mothe-ring Fa-ther be
with us now joy-ous-ly,
as voi-ces raise
for all your love has wrought,
our lives with bless-ings fraught
trans-cend-ing all our thought,
we speak your praise.

2. O God, no lips a-lone
could our joy-ful-ness own,
and wor-ship you,
but may our lives ex-press
that which our hearts con-fess,
and we in ho-li-ness
our souls re-new.

3. And may our hands reach out
to those who round a-bout
de-mand our love.
In ev-ery hour of need
may we their plead-ings heed,
til earth be-comes in-deed
like heaven a-bove. A-men.

O Heart of Fire

1. O heart of fire, mis-judged by wil-ful gain,
the flower of Jes-se's race!
What woe you had when you and Jon-a-than
last greet-ed face to face

2. One doomed to die, and on us to im-press
a heart-felt hol-i-ness;
yet all was well for you, mid cares of rule,
and crime's en-circ-ling pool.

3. A spell was o'er you, zeal-ous one, to chide,
your word-ly, roy-al pride;
with bat-tle-scene and pa-geant, soon to end
the pale calm of a friend.

4. Had the friend lived, be-fore your throne to stand,
your spir-it keen and free,
would love have then sur-vived, a slend-er band,
so dear in mem-o-ry?

5. Paul, of the com-rade reft, the bless-ing gives:
a life re-mem-bered lives;
O heart of fire, come greet us face to face,
O flower of love's long race!

O Love! O Light!

1. O Love! O Life! Our faith and sight
your pres-ence now makes one,
as through trans-fig-ured clouds of white
we trace the noon-day sun.

2. So, to our mor-tal minds sub-dued,
flesh-veiled, but not con-cealed,
we know in you the par-ent-hood
and heart of God re-vealed.

3. We faint-ly know, dim-ly per-ceive,
in dif-fering phrase we pray;
In you, dim or clear, we own free
the Light, the Truth, the Way!

4. To do your will is more than praise,
as words are less than deeds;
and sim-ple trust can find your ways
we miss with chart of creeds.

5. Our friend, our kind-red, and our word,
What may your ser-vice be?
Nor name, nor form, nor ri-tual heard,
but fol-low-ing free-ly.

6. Your li-ta-nies, sweet of-fi-ces
of love and gra-ti-tude;
your sa-cred, di-vine li-tur-gies,
the joy of do-ing good.

O Sacred Head Surrounded

2/09/2008

O sacred head, surrounded
by crown of piercing thorn!
O bleeding head, so wounded,
reviled and put to scorn!
Death's pallid hue comes over you
The glow of life decays,
yet angel hosts adore thee
and tremble as they gaze

I see thy strength and vigor all fading in the strife,
and death with cruel rigor,
bereaving thee of life;
O agony and dying!
O love to sinners free!
Jesus, all grace supplying,
O turn thy face on me.

In this thy bitter passion,
Good Shepherd, think of me
with thy most sweet compassion,
unworthy though I be:
beneath thy cross abiding
for ever would I rest,
in thy dear love confiding,
and with thy presence blest.

Old Ship Of Zion 3

12/14/2007

I was drifting away on life's pitiless sea,
And the angry waves threatened my ruin to be,
When away at my side, there I dimly descried,
A stately old vessel, and loudly I cried--
"Ship, a-hoy! Ship, a-hoy!"
And loudly I cried: "Ship a-hoy!"

'Twas the "old ship of Zion," thus sailing along,
All aboard her seemed joyous, I heard their sweet song;
And the Captain's kind ear, ever ready to hear,
Caught my wail of distress, as I cried out in fear--
"Ship, a-hoy! Ship, a-hoy!"
As I cried out in fear: "Ship, a-hoy!"

The good Captain commanded a boat to be low'red,
And with tender compassion, He took me on board;
And I'm happy to-day, all my sins washed away
In the blood of my Saviour; and now I can say--
"Bless the Lord! Bless the Lord!"
From my soul I can say: "Bless the Lord!"

O soul, sinking down 'neath sin's merciless wave,
The strong arm of our Captian is mighty to save;
Then trust Him today, no longer delay,
Board the old ship of Zion, and shout on your way:
"Jesus saves! Jesus saves!"
Shout and sing on your way: "Jesus saves!"

Old Ship Of Zion 2

O what ship is this that comes sailing by,
O glory halle hallelujah!
'Tis the old ship of Zion, hallelujah!
'Tis the old ship of Zion, hallelujah!

And will this ship be able to carry us safe thro'
O glory halle hallelujah!
Yes, Jesus is her captain, hallelujah!
Yes, Jesus is her captain, hallelujah!

All her passengers will land on the bright eternal shore,
O glory halle hallelujah!
And they'll shout their sufferings over, hallelujah!
And they'll shout their sufferings over, hallelujah!

She has landed many thousands, and will land so many more,
O glory halle hallelujah!
She will land them over Jordan, hallelujah!
She will land them over Jordan, hallelujah!

Old Ship Of Zion

I was standing by the banks of a river
Looking out over lifes troubled seas
When I saw an old ship that was sailing
Is that the old ship of Zion I see

It's hull was bent and battered
From the storms of life I could see
Waves were rough but that old ship kept sailing
Is that the old ship of Zion I see

At the stern of the ship was the captain
I could hear as he called out my name
Get on board It's the old ship of Zion
It will never pass this way again

As I step on board I'll be leaving
All my troubles and trials behind
I'll be safe with Jesus the captain
Sailing out on the old ship of Zion

O Holy Night - 2

11/28/2007

O! Holy night! The stars, their gleams prolonging,
Watch o'er the Eve of our dear Saviour's birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error, longing
For His appearance, then the Spirit felt its worth.
A thrill of hope; the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.

Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices!
O night divine, the night when Christ was Born;
O night, O holy night, O night divine!

Led by the light of faith serenely beaming,
With glowing hearts we stand by the Babe adored.
O'er the world a star is sweetly gleaming,
And come now, Shepherds, from your flocks unboard.
The Son of God lay thus w'thin lowly manger;
In all our trials born to be our Lord.

*He knows our need, our weakness never lasting,
Behold your King! By Him, let Earth accord!
Behold your King! By Him, let Earth accord!

Truly He taught us to love one another,
His law is love and His gospel is peace.
Long live His truth, and may it last forever,
For in His name all discordant noise shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
With all our hearts we praise His holy name.

*Christ is the Lord! Then ever, ever praise we,
His power and glory ever more proclaim!
His power and glory ever more proclaim!

The Second and The Third Chorus are Also Sung Replacing Them By the First Chorus
