Cast Your Burdens Unto Jesus

2/02/2008

Cast your burdens unto Jesus, for He cares for you.
Cast your burdens unto Jesus, for He cares for you.

Higher higher, higher higher higher higher, higher higher,
Lift Jesus higher.

Lower lower, lower lower lower lower, lower lower,
Stomp Satan lower.

Deeper deeper, deeper deeper deeper deeper, deeper deeper,
His love is deeper.

Wider wider, wider wider wider wider, wider wider,
His love is wider.

Super super, super super super super, super super,
Supernatural power

The first verse is,
"Cast your burdens, unto Jesus, for HE loves us all,
Cast your burdens, unto Jesus, for he loves us all"

At least, that's how where I go does it.

The lyrics is correct. and if you don't agree, that's they way it's written in the bible. The lyrics is straight from the bible.

Lot's of people sing this song! I had forgotten about it until our devotional at work was entiltled "Cast your Burdens on Jesus" I immediately remembered the song and went on the web to find the words. Thanks for all the input! I'll probably incorporate all the verses you came up with.

HI everyone the lyrics are correct, i've been singing it for over 26 years, but we've only ever sang Higher and Lower, never heard of the others, but that's great.. Im going to add it to our one, thank you for that. God Bless you all

Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Psalm 55:22

bottom line. He loves us And protects his children

Praise to Jesus God Almighty

Let not his children bicker amongst themselves for no reason.

I know this post isn't recent, but I just googled this song and found this and I thought I'd add in my two cents. The lyrics are correct, but I've never done the deeper or wider parts, and I've always heard sung the lyrics as hiya hiya, lowa lowa, supa supa, fiya fiya...its more fun to sing with the kids that way, kinda sounds like you're a ninja. We also do motions, the "raise the roof" motion for hiya, the opposite of raising the roof and we bend our whole body down to the ground for lowa, we act like we're flexing our muscles for supa, and I can't really explain the fiya motion except to say that it looks like we're flicking water off our hands onto somebody. I play it on my guitar and once we sing it through a couple times at a normal pace and the kids learn it well I progressively speed it up so by the end the kids are doing motions super fast and laughing. It's fantastic.

So I just googled this song and found this blog post, and even though I'm kinda late to the party I'll add in my two cents. I've always sung only the higher, lower, super, and fire parts, except that with the kids I sing it like hiya, lowa, supa, and fiya, its more fun that way. We also have motions when we do it. Hiya is the "raise the roof" motion. Lowa is the opposite, like you're pushing the roof to the floor, and at the same time we're bending our knees getting lower to the ground, and we literally STOMP satan lower. Supa is where we flex our muscles. Fiya is like we're flicking water off our hands onto somebody. I play it on my guitar and sing it a few times at a normal pace, and one they catch on I progressively get faster and faster. They end up doing the motions crazy fast and laughing. It's fantastic.

Hi, do yous now this version:

Cast your burdens unto Jesus
Cast your burdens unto the Lord
Cast your burdens unto Jesus
For he's my friend

Thats our version at our church, whether that is or isnt the way it is written in the bible, it all has the same meaning behind the song.
